In March 2017, I spent some time exploring the National and State Park lands of the American West. We drove 4000 miles and visited 9 states. These photos are some of my favorite because of how peaceful these locations were in the off season. We made it to Chimney rock right at sunset and had the place to ourselves, and we visited Scottsbluff National Monument early in the morning before others arrived. Most people go south for spring break, I went North and was rewarded with rustic quietness.
