I had a difficult time appreciating the Little Big Horn monument. Even though, a clear attempt has been made to present both sides of the story, I am uncomfortable with the glory bestowed on Lieutenant Colonel Custer and his men.
I did appreciate these two memorials, dedicated by the Indian Nations.


No one can leave LBH and wear a glow of admiration for Gen Custer. I think LBH shares the sad history of our arrogant gluttonous ways of “excuse me, I need that land…”
I’m glad you took the time to visit. The First Nations people’s monuments are indeed beautiful, for many sad reasons.
